ABSTRACT

Objective@#To explore the effectiveness of painting group counseling intervention on problem behavior and the quality of parent child relationship in primary school students.@*Methods@#The problem behaviors of grade fouth primary school students were screened and compared with the norm. Two classes were randomly selected as the intervention group and control group, respectively. Intervention group received for an 8 week painting group counseling experiment. Conners Child Behavior Rating Scale, Problem Solving Scale and Parental Acceptance Questionnaire were used as the evaluation tools.@*Results@#There was no significant difference in the detection rate of problem behavior between the experimental and the control group before intervention(27.59%, 15.38 %, Z=1.10, P >0.05). After intervention, the detection rate of problem behavior in the experimental group was significantly lower than that in the control group(17.24%, 3.85%, Z=3.71, P <0.01). There was no difference in the scores of problem solving and parental acceptance between the two groups before the intervention( t=0.63, 0.38, P >0.05). After the intervention, the score of problem solving in the experimental group was lower than that in the control group( t=-2.28, P <0.05), and the score of parental acceptance was higher than that in the control group( t=2.57, P <0.05). For the intervention group, problem behavior and problem solving decreased significantly( t=2.56, 2.44, P <0.05), while the scores of parental acceptance increased significantly( t=-2.26, P <0.05)after the intervention. The scores of these three variables in the control group showed no significant changes before and after the intervention( P >0.05). The results of repeated measurement variance showed that the main effect of problem behavior and the interactive effect of problem solving and parental acceptance( F=8.63, 8.01, 4.62, P <0.05) were significant.@*Conclusion@#Painting group counseling can reduce the problem behaviors of primary school students and improve the quality of parent child relationship. It can be applied in primary school mental health education and plays a positive role in promoting the healthy development of primary school students.

ABSTRACT

Objective Clinical research is a critical procedure for the development of medicine.Reliability of the clinical research finding is determined by the quality of study design and analysis courses. It will also further impact the guideline development and clinical practice. This study was focus on the evaluation of clinical research quality during its whole process. Methods Subjects of this study were the clinical summary reports from a government funded project which were submitted in 2016.Standardized data collecting form had been used to capture the key features regarding to the quality of study design and data analysis. After the review of data accuracy, descriptive analysis had been carried to interpret the observed findings both for design and analysis aspects. Results There were 67 project summary reports included in our analysis. The top three investigated therapeutic areas were oncology,cardiovascular/cerebrovascular diseases and orthopedics (19.4 %,11.9 % and 11.9 %).Most of studies fulfilled the evaluation criteria according to their original plan.94 % studies were strictly compliance with the original protocol with no interim amendment.Meanwhile, the report on sample size determination and appropriate use of multi-variable analysis should be improved. Conclusions Usually, clinical research program can fulfill the evaluate goal according to funding requirements. But the methodology quality should be paid more attention. It is highly suggested to cooperate with the professional statistical team and do continuous improvement effort to enhance the validity of study findings.

ABSTRACT

Objective To study the effect of α-lipoic acid on the retinal expression level of VEGF and diabetic retinopathy in rats with diabetes mellitus and mechanism. Methods Totally 72 Wistar rats were divided into 4 groups:12 (control group)in group A,24 in modeling group(group B),24 in group treated withα-LA(group C)and 12 in high-glucose(group D).Group B to group D were given 60 mg/kg STZ through intraperitoneal injection, rats in group C were given 100 mg/kg α-LA and rats in group D were given 5.0% glucose-solution.The body mass,FPG,FINS,HOMA-IR,expression level of VEGF,activity of SOD,GSH and IL-6 of 4 groups were compared by statistics. Results After 72 h,the FPG of group A was(4.57 ±0.1 5 )mmol/L,that of group B was (21.72±4.28)mmol/L,that of group C was(21.54±4.96)mmol/L and that of group D was(21.83±4.77)mmol/L,the difference had statistical significance (P 0.05).The body mass,FPG,FINS,HOMA-IR,expression level of VEGF,activity of SOD,GSH and IL-6 among 4 groups at 4 w,8 w and 12 w had statistical difference (P <0.05).After 12 w,the difference of GR stage among group B to group D had statistical significance (P <0.05).Conclusion α-LA can inhibit the expression of VEGF in rats with diabetes mellitus, which is related to its ability to re-duce the oxidative stress and inflammation reaction,as well as to alleviate the insulin resistance.

ABSTRACT

Objective To identify the necessity to carry out optimization procedure in routine digital radiography (DR) by evaluating changes of patient radiation dose and image waste ratio before and after optimization. Methods Two hundred patients with near-standard body build were enrolled in the study.Half of them undertook routine examination, and the others undertook the examination with bestlyoptimized protocol. The dose-area product (DAP) and entrance surface dose (ESD) were recorded. The image waste ratios in 2 groups were calculated and the reasons for image waste were analyzed. The radiation dose and image waste ratio before and after optimization were compared. Results The ESD,DAP and image waste ratio in bestly-optimized radiography were significantly lower than those in non-optimized radiography (z =9.31,16.22,P<0.05; x2 =36.5,P < 0.05).Conclusion Using the bestlyoptimized digital radiography, the patient radiation dose and image waste ratio are effectively reduced.

ABSTRACT

KCNK17 is a member of the acid-sensitive subfamily of tandem pore K(+) channels, which are open at all membrane potentials an red contribute to cellular resting membrane potential. Recent genome-wide study (GWA) has shown that variants within KCNK17 confer genetic susceptibility for increasing ischemic stroke. In an effort to discover additional polymorphism(s), we scrutinized the genetic polymorphisms in the KCNK17. By direct DNA sequencing in 32 individuals, we identified nine sequence variants within the 16 kb of whole KCNK17 gene: one in exon1, one in intron and seven in the promoter region. Haplotypes, their frequencies and linkage disequilibrium coefficients (D'), among polymorphisms were estimated. All the polymorphisms in the 5'-flanking region (SNP2-SNP7) being in complete (or nearly complete) association with each other in the promoter region maybe produce synergistic effect to regulate the expression of KCNK17 gene and then have an influence on the pathogenesis of cerebrovascular diseases. The common haplotypes were observed comprising 88.9% of the total haplotypes in the same block. Bioinformatic analysis predicted several potential transcriptional factors binding sites by SNP -95, -134, -596 and -846. However, these binding sites need to be experimentally verified. The information concerning genetic polymorphisms of KCNK17 gene might provide valuable information for future genetic studies of diseases.
